gah i vanished for so long! gomen! >.< i missed a lot. -.-

well, i wanna know what's up and about, but...i think im lost in the discussion. gomen!

Hi hi! Haven't replied in a week.. >.<

Me wonders what kashikosa and abul would think seeing their group become a 'small talk cafe'. Haha. We'll keeping it alive and having a bit of fun, at least..

Where's abul anyway? I thought he said that he would be back after a month? It's been a month and more already.. Salma hasn't come by either..

Hey, what a coincidence that you both lived in Jakarta, at one point! Flooding can be an issue here too.. .I remember, when I was a kid, and they hadn't fixed the draining system and all that.. the floodwater would be up to the third step of the stairs.. We were like, "do you think we'll see some snakes in there?" "Crocodile!" "Haha, no school!" ... brings back memories..

In our capital city.. jams are way too common. I hate trying to navigate the roads when it's rush hour time. I mean, someone will find some way or other to avoid most of the heavy jams but that means we'll be sitting in the car/taxi, all cramped together, going through toll booth after toll booth.. Sometimes, the taxi driver even drives us towards the wrong way just for extra cash.. -_- I rather use the LRT, provided someone comes with me. Thankfully, I don't live there. Would be major distraction, what with all the shops and manga stores..

O.O Temari, you move around quite a bit, don't you? Wow, and both Singapore and China are such competitive places too.. Shanghai? :) Nice... Since everyone's said a little of where they live, I guess I should drop a little hint.. it's in East Malaysia. Okay, that isn't much but anyway!

It's nice to see rustic kopitiam when all the new developments keep coming up.. :) One of the streets here that used to be so nice and quiet and traditional is now.. not. T.T Well, if I just ignore the new restaurants and their honking huge signs, it might just still be the same.. the trees and courtyards are still there, thank goodness.

Well, see you! And I bet your Chinese name isn't that bad..mine's considered a little too smple.

You know... this is becoming really cultural, don't you think? :D Does this theme have anything really to do with Studio Ghibli movies?

I live in Jakarta too XD Before I moved to Singapore then moved to Shanghai that is... ^_^'
I got to say that I hate the floods... And the traffic jams... They truly kill our time...

And yea, "Yi" is one in Chinese :)
Then i think that your Chinese name is better than mine... I just don't really like mine... -_-
Noodles~ That's nice :D And oh! KopiTaim~ I go to those shops when I'm in Singapore XD

No offence taken, Gaby! Floods aren't at all nice.. Well, everything has its ups and downs, I suppose..

Argh, I told you I haven't done han yu ping yin for a while, Temari! Yi is actually more for the Chinese character for 'one' right? -_- me.. My name isn't actually rain..'Yu' is combined with another symbol so it's quite a different looking word.. Your Chinese name can't be that bad, Temari! Breakfast then was ~noodles~ from a good old coffee shop or KopiTiam as some call it.. :) Why don't you take a look at Laverrine's new piece? I find it rather nice to describe/analyse.. :D

Oh really, Gaby? Must be hard on a doctor then... I hear that Jakarta's practically the safest city in Indonesia, though... wonder if I'm right.. But i suppose they weren't thinking about it, pollution-wise. XD

Oh and I've replied to your comment, Gaby! Do check..

Yep, Indonesia is polluted alright! Especially Jakarta (where I live, BTW)
Live long enough here and you'll shorten your life span. Anyway, it doesn't rain so much anymore this time of year, although we still have the occasional out-of-nowhere storms.
Oh and I hate it when it rains here (no offence, Aozora...) because most of the time it means flood and traffic jam everywhere.

Haha XD Good Thing I saved those scans already :nya:

Lol. I know that Indonesia is really polluted ^_^' It's in the top 10 most polluted country = =
When I went to KL it was really hot too XD

"Yi" is rain? I say rain as "Yu" XD
You have rain is your Chinese name :nya: That's so nice~ My Chinese name is lame = =

I have analyzed... nothing... I need to find a nice picture to analyze XD
Then maybe my walling skill will improve *_* jk XD

Hope you had a great breakfast XD

Haha.. true, I did leave out some scans.. but only because they had been quarantined.. Temari is so observant.. ^.^

I don't know if it rains more in Indonesia or not.. ^_^' I just remember that when I went there once in March a few years ago, I think, it was really hot! And, no offence.. but we get haze when the farmers in Indonesia start burning their fields to clear the land.. It's a kind of sore topic here.. let's not dwell too long on that!

When the weather gets that hot.. I love rain too! Actually one of the chinese characters in my name has the symbol of rain, "yi".. haha.

And what have you analyzed then, Temari? :D

See you, it's 8:34am and I should go have my breakfast... XD

Yup! I noticed the Nabari no Ou category too~ :D
There's items in there now~ Though I think it's missing... 2 scans? Or maybe they got deleted ^_^'

Actually the "rainy season" only lasted for... 2 days? ^_^'
I prefer rain over heat... Good thing it rained in Malaysia~ I think in Indonesia it rains more than Malaysia?
Anyways, here in China... These days the weather became really hot (and it's still spring... -_-), then the rain gives us the breeze~ I love the rain :nya:

That's so good! If only my English is that good XD
Yesterday, I learned how to analyze pictures and videos, so now I can analyze wallpapers XD

Okay! Nabari no Ou category has been made! Though... it seems like all the art and scans haven't been moved yet. And I made a stupid mistake by including manga Artist.. T.T I didn't think that I had to follow it so strictly.. But anyway! It's there!

Rainy season for you, Temari? Well, I think normally there should be more rain here.. but then, for some reason, we went through a period of nearly a week with absolutely no rain.. The HEAT! And then we heard thunder twice in the day, the rain bugs even came, but the rain didn't.. T.T Finally.. thankfully, third time lucky! Or we would have died from the heat.. now, it is raining regularly. Normal Malaysian weather! ^.^

Haha. A lot of my posts here in Minitokyo sound like persuasive writing, even my comments on art sound like that too. I'm just too bored, I suppose.. I used to write all these dramatic short reviews for books, especially in RFL. Yet the posts became WAY too long..LOL.

See ya! I will try and find the movies then..

Oh yea, I just learned about ads or to be specific... Persuasive writing a few weeks ago XD
But whatever.. ignore that XD
Gabychan, I can really see your hard work! Unlike me :nya: I'm so lazy now...
I guess I'm only hardworking for the sake of anime or manga ^_^'

Re-watch Spirited Away Aozora!~ >.< And I'm going to re-watch Mononoke Hime~ =3
And yea, that's true... The falling down part in Spirited Away is similar to The Cats Return's XD Never thought of it though~
The Original Music Video though... Yea it's quite old~ And I remember seeing it quite a few times XD

And oh? Thunder? We had thunders here yesterday XD Rainy season here >_<

WOW... Gaby's a doctor... so smart! Doctor Gaby... I join St John Ambulance but I'm almost useless in bandaging.. haha. Don't tell the other doctors here.. i would be 'axed' if they found out. Hippocratic oath? Sounds like hypocrite oath lol. I hope that isn't the cse. :P

Thanks for joining Rainfalling Love! It's nice having friends in my groups.. I really appreciate it!

Prove that ads work.. ^.^

Oh, Temari, I'm hardworking.. just not always for the right thing. Haha.

The AMV for Spirited Away reminded me of how long it has been since I watched the movie.. I don't even remember watching the ending! Well, I remember Sen saying "we'll meet again" but that's it.. The scene with them falling reminds me of Cat Returns.. ^.^ Well, since it's Studio Ghibli's too, no worry about copyright. :D The original MV is a bit old but it's still lovely. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, and Gaby... I've started reading Mort.. It was better than I thought it would be! Death actually seems more human than the humans themselves despite his er..deathly appearance..

See you. Hey the thunder's stopped. Which means I can go on being online! Goodie!

Go Mods! Hope they can find people that are suitable for the jobs soon :)

Aozora, ok then :) Since you are so hard working (?) XD I'll join! =D
So yes, your ad worked for me too :D

Wow! You became a doctor! Doctor Gabychan XD
Gah! Me and my easily affected mind = =
But actually, yes, I think Spirited Away has the best music out of all the Ghibli Movies =3
Oh my! There's a vocal version!? I didn't know that! Thanks so much for sharing more surprises T_T I'm so happy >_< Plus I know the singer (well.. another song of hers ^_^') !~ <3 her voice!
Oh and they ending song~ I like it too~ :D Long time no hear XD

@Temari: Graduation as in med school graduation, which is when we say the Hippocratic oath and officially become doctors :p
Yeah! I infected you mwa ha ha! Spirited Away has the best score music of all Ghibli's movies IMO < 333
Enjoy the vocalized version of One Summer Day called "Inochi No Namae" a.k.a "The Name of Life" ^___^
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldGms9gbTao
and the ending song.... "Itsumo Nando Demo" a.k.a "AlwaysWith Me"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqI56Wv64iU

@Aozora: Your ad worked. I joined that group :D

Saw the videos, Gaby-chan! Hmm... Princess Mononoke looks quite interesting and I love their theme! Spirited Away's... I'm afraid I wasn't quite paying attention to it.. >.<

Anyway, yes, mods are busy busy! Can't afford to badger them for the category.. still, I really do wonder if they are getting help or not? I think they do need some assistance... can't depend on Sheqel alone to maintain the website's server existence.. and all the bugs.. ah well.

Please join Rainfalling Love! Not only will it help me in the contest, I would love having another pal there.. My closer friends there are all so busy ao I haven't seen them online for ages... T.T Well, at least, the other members are friendlier to me now. Don't worry about participation. i will 'prompt' you so that you won't ever be at loss at what to say.. XD

Okay, see you!

Love MT forever! <3

Nabari No Ou really deserves a category :)
But I also hope that the Mods aren't stressing themselves >.<

RainFallingInLove... Hmm... I'm not sure if I'll join yet =3
I think that I have quite a lot of groups already~ And I don't want to be a person that joins groups and not participate :)
But it's a really great group! :D

Thanks for the congrats Gabychan! I feel happy now~
I need to enjoy the time before my next exams come >_<
And graduation as in graduate from University?

I totally love Spirited Away songs! >_< One Summer's Day is awesome! So intense and full of feeling >.< Thanks for sharing. And Monokehime, I want to re-watch the movie again first~ :D
You successfully infected me with Joe Hisaishi's beautiful music!~

Yatta! Gaby's back! I'll listen to the music when I have time... and don't worry about 'infecting' us! I just 'advertised' my other group here and then 'promoted' Samurai Champloo over there. Haha.

Thanks for the congrats! It's a bit early though.. I am not exactly hopeful about the majority of my results.. but at least I have more free time..

Ah well, life goes on, can't do anything about it. time is merciless. It doesn't let one go back and do it over... but it's one new experience every stage, for everyone. :)

See you.

Hi Minna ^_^ So sorry for being away so long....
My studies are killing me. I miss my life before graduation already. The good old days when I only have to study on exams...
Anyway, congrats to Temari and Aozora for finishing their exams ;)

I wanted to re watch Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke again if I have the time. Apart for being great movies, I absolutely love Joe Hisaishi's scores. Especially "One Summer Day" from Spirited Away
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mavdv0VqOZQ&feature=related)

and Mononoke's theme
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MbkwkAI9pig&feature=related)

*goes off playing those music over and over again*
Yes, I'm trying to infect you guys with those beautiful pieces > : D

Yay! No more talking to myself.. ^.^

Yeah, Minitokyo's been having trouble lately... Last week, the server 'blacked out' a couple of times. I couldn't get on at all on Wednesday and Thursday. And now, a couple of thumbnails have gone black... Ah well... I still love Minitokyo!

I hope the Nabari No Ou category will be approved too! I haven't got any answer yet... and since a couple of mods have retired (sob), namely Saikusa (who was in charge of that thread) and kuroimisa (the wall mod) , I wonder how Minitokyo will fare.. Makes me wonder; will Maplerose, bromithia and the rest be recruiting other moderators then? Hmmm...

Hey we seem to be online at the same time! It's 10pm here; you? Hope to see kashikosa..

Hope to see other members here... how about setting up some little competition or other to liven things up? Like one of my groups RainFalling Love (http://rainfallinglove.minitokyo.net/).

Which reminds me! *cough*..advertisement time..*cough* Would anyone want to join RainFalling Love? It's not a group that completely consists of elites and we aren't as famous as say, Paint~o~rama and Vector Wallers.... But what I love about this group is the people! I can meet a lot of personalities here.. and it was my first group where I met some of my first friends on Minitokyo. Everyone makes an effort to keep the group lively and with Haven100's new competition, we are particularly active. ^.^ It's a group that mainly supports (loves!) hetero romance, but we are all pals there so it's like a social club. Haha. Come along and take a look, people!

Okay, i'm done, I think. :D

My exams are over too~ Though I still have my finals in 20 days or so XD

Nabari no Ou Category! Hope it'll be made >_<
One of the reason I decided to watch Nabari no Ou was because of Kashikosa's wallpaper XD
I love the Nabari no Ou scans people submitted on MT~

MT kinda had problems lately... lots of small problems at different places...
I don't blame MT though because it's really hard to regulate a really huge website such as this~ =3
I use to get error when I try to post replies... So I have a habit of copying what I typed before I submit~ It really saves trouble when the time comes~ :)

I'm back! Exams are over! I still have to finish a project though... but hey, at least I don't have to study so much now.

Thanks for the luck! I don't know whether or not it was enough though.. >.<
Well, Temari, Kashikosa, I've requested for a Nabari no Ou category. I think you may be interested since kashikosa did a vector and I've seen Temari's comments when I was searching for the art.. ^.^
Well, if there are any mistakes in my request, do tell me!

I notice that the font seems to have changed in this commentbox..
Actually I tried to comment here, like twice already. But Minitokyo was having problems with its server or something so I gave up and went off to read manga online instead. Haha.

Well, see you!

Wow! 12 *_* That's double of mine... >_<
I guess I'm lucky not to have History XD Though I'm going to have it next year :nya:

No worries! Focus on your exams for now =3
My grammar and vocab is very bad...

Black things? -_- I don't think I can remember.... ^_^'
But then Miyazaki always put interesting things in his movies~

Wish you best luck on your History!~ :D

I'm just here because studying is KILLING me. 6 subjects?! I... I envy you! I have 12! TWELVE! T.T And I absolutely am going to sink this time because history is so darn hard! Sob.... I notice that in my history syllabus, if you take a close look, it's all about failures except for the 5 chapters dedicated to Islam... typical... It's not exactly the happiest subject to study...

I'm sorry that I haven't answered your guestbook comment, temari. I'm always a bit late in doing that and these exams aren't helping... Your English doesn't seem too bad btw..

Well, thanks all for the luck! I certainly hope that Lady Luck is on my side this time...

Since no one has started a Ghibli topic, I will just so I can see something when I get back here .. XD . Well, I sometimes wonder what are those black things that Miyazaki likes to put in his movies? Those squibbly ones like in Spirited Away, and the servants in Howl's Moving Castle? Are they considered mushi or youkai, or... what? How was Miyazaki inspired to create them? I notice that Clacifer seems to be the only creature that seems to share the same sort of liquidity but has warm colours...

Well, see you! Double wish me luck for history...

Yeah, good luck on your exams aozoraskies!
and I'm totally back so I'll be actively participating in the discussion XD

Haha~ I really hope that I helped you :D

But then you can always download the movies for free~ And then burn them on DVDs.
I don't even have a Kinokuniya near my city... -_-

I have 6 subjects... T_T
And I think that English is hard... I keep getting bad scores...

I was wanting to make a Ghibli art one day XD So just wait and see~ :D

Oh no! Good Luck on your exams~ :D Hope you get awesome scores~:)
I will be in this group~ It's just that I can't talk to myself ^_^'

Kashikosha is back!~ >_<
